Quartz: The Rise of The Gene Readers

My first major series at Quartz was a look at the journey genetic testing has taken from medical labs to direct-to-consumer tests used at home. I worked closely with graphics and data reporters to ensure that technical concepts of genetics translated to a lay audiences.

In addition to scientific reporting, this series includes emotional interviews with sources whose lives were forever altered by genetic testing. Stories in this series explore how the advancement of genetics can impact our understanding of health, family, and identity.
